Just some updates, cus I'm still alive.

~-~ :bulletred:My hours got cut at work, so I'm looking for a new job. Management is reassuring us that the rescheduling is only temporary, but I kind of like having a three day weekend (nearly)

Less money =/= Good and dandy though.

Speaking of money, someone I met recently has a lot of connections..and apparently really liked my art.

He's offering me quite a bit of money for a commission... something I'm not sure I can do. =_= This is an amazing opportunity, and he's being SO generous, but I just draw for fun. I have no formal training and this feels like something I'm just not qualified to do....I mean looking through my gallery, my skills are fairly...limited.
Would it be fair to do "my best" but end up having a result I personally won't be pleased with? I just don't think it's okay to take someone's money for something I've had no practice in.

The money and the experience and the opportunity/ networking are amazing..but..

 Thoughts?

just now seeing this 'cause I'm a ritard xD

I say definitely take him up on the offer. You'll surprise yourself on what you're capable of. I got a similar offer in February, and I was 99% gonna turn him down 'cause it was such a tall order and really different for me. But for some reason something got ahold and I ended up agreeing to something I didn't think I would be able to do to his standards. I finished the drawing in only 2 weeks and I learned so much. It literally launched my art into a whole new direction I NEVER thought I could EVER do. lt-frogg.deviantart.com/art/In… I've never done any of the things I listed in the description, so I technically had no experience with this, but it turned better than I thought. The only way to get experience is to try it out I guess? If you end up not liking drawing for money after this, you can always call it quits next time, but don't be afraid to try! :D
I really think this is an incredible opportunity for you. If you honestly feel better with a lower price than he offered, don't be afraid to say so. The more confident you get the more comfortable you'll be with it!
I wish you the best of luck, whatever you decide!
